PERSPECTIVE: Hadn’t ironed their clothes for almost two years?

Hey everyone, what's up?

Perspective
What would you think if you found out your friend hadn’t ironed their clothes for almost two years?

Would you think it’s ridiculous? Or maybe you’d be curious how that even happens? Ironing is nothing new to us. It’s something many of us see as important, it helps make us look neat and professional by getting rid of wrinkles, right? But have you ever gone without ironing your clothes for a long time? It might sound like a disaster. Imagine walking around in wrinkled clothes all the time!

Well, I actually have experience with this. I haven’t ironed my clothes myself for almost two years. But wait, before you start making assumptions, let me explain. It doesn’t mean my clothes are never ironed! I use a laundry service, so I don’t have to do it myself. It’s really convenient, and the cost fits well within my monthly budget. With how busy my days are, I just don’t have the time to sit down and iron.

From my point of view, if we can afford to pay for a service that saves us time, why not use it? It lets us focus on more important or productive things. The laundry service I use does a great job, and my clothes always come back looking neat and wrinkle-free. But there’s a funny downside: after so long without ironing, my hands have totally forgotten how to do it! Whenever I see someone with a perfectly ironed outfit, I catch myself wondering, “Did they really iron that themselves?” The last time I tried, let’s just say it felt like learning a completely new skill.

Honestly, I don’t enjoy ironing much. I’d rather spend my time on something else I like more. But when I was younger, I used to help my mom iron my school uniforms. Looking back, that was such a sweet memory. I was really diligent and could spend hours making sure my uniform looked perfect. And yes, I’m a little proud of that!

Ironing or not, I think what matters most is feeling comfortable and confident in what we wear. Whether you iron every day or never touch the iron, it’s up to you. There’s no one right way to do it.

So, what about you? Do you still iron your clothes, or have you found another way around it? I’d love to hear your thoughts. That’s my perspective.

Warm regards :b
